Author Interview - Liz Borino - Erotic Author

Welcome to my warm cozy fireplace! Please make yourself at home; grab a warm drink, Bailey’s is there for those who want an added kick to their coffee! Now come join us, have a seat on the comfy sofas and join me as I welcome erotic author Liz Borino. Her newest release, Expectations, is about two brothers who struggle to win their father’s approval so they can acquire their trust funds.  He expects them to become businessmen, marry and have a family. Is this what they want? Liz is here to let us into her world for a bit. Thanks for joining us!

Tonya:  Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?

Liz:  I drink Snapple, which is to say, I wake up. Without that shot of caffeine brain activity just doesn’t fire. As far as music, once again it can be assumed that if I’m awake, music is playing.

Tonya:  Do you like pushing the envelope to the brink when writing?

Liz:  Oh yes, I do. I don’t even know if ‘like’ is the right word to use here, I just naturally do. Writing is where my imagination comes out and you get a look inside my head. Oh… yes, that’s a bit scary isn’t it?

Tonya:  I read Chapter One and liked how you brought out a bit of each character's personality. Did you bring one of your characters with you today?

Liz:  Well, they’re always in my head, but tonight, Matt is being the loudest. He wants to be a good guy, father, and partner, but he has a darker past and is struggling to stay on the right path.

Tonya:  Tell us about a day in your life as a writer.

Liz:  Since getting my publishing contract, I’ve become much more involved in social media. While this is an important part of marketing existing books, it makes it difficult to write new ones. Therefore, I’m still looking for a balance between the two.

Tonya:  Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?

Liz:  Daytime writer. I can’t wait to be alone to write or else I’d never get anything done.

Tonya:  Do you intentionally give your characters flaws so the reader might relate to them better?

Liz:  My characters are real people to me. No, really, by the time they make it to the page they’ve been inside my head so long I know everything about them. I knew, for example, Aiden had long hair because he looked too much like his father with short. This was never mentioned in either book, but it was important for me to know. I keep their back stories in head. Because they are so real to me, of course they have flaws.

Tonya:  Do you write about things that may teach your reader new ‘ideas’ they might use at home?

Liz:  Oh this is a tough one. Alright, I wrote Chris and Aiden’s relationship to be portrayed differently than many romance books portray m/m. I wanted people to see the beauty of their love and suspend and maybe question stereotypes.

Tonya:  Where can our readers find you and your books?

Liz:  Barnes and Noble      Amazon     Omnilit     All Romance Books

Tonya:  Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?

Liz:  I can be found on my Blog   Facebook  and Twitter     I’d love to hear from all of you! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you check out Expectations!

Tonya:  Thank you all so much for being here. Feel free to leave comments or questions for Liz and be sure to visit her online. She will be here through Thursday this week. Liz, it's been a pleasure! Good luck with the book!
