Prelease Party and Interview with Casey Sheridan!

April 1st - Release for Ruby Red Metallic

Blurb for Ruby Red Metallic

Alaina knows her cars and she doesn't view what she does for a living as stealing. Using all the physical attributes she has at her disposal, she merely acquires the high-end vehicles for a business partner.
Although the beautiful cars turn her on, she has her heart set on a particular gem. When she finds her jewel, Alaina is pleasantly surprised by its handsome owner, Scott.
Now she's faced with a dilemma. Does she choose the man or the gem?

Welcome to the party. Wow! I can't believe the people already here.  I love elegant parties and gorgeous gowns! You all look fabulous. As an added treat, we had the ruby red car brought in so be sure to take your turn behind the wheel for pictures. No, I'm sorry, no one can take it for a spin although the ballroom is large enough to do that!  Alaina says no way. Only she gets to drive that gem. Join the crowd, the bar is there in the corner and let's toast to Casey's newest release!
Is that cover beautiful or what? Casey, I absolutely love it! You have to be so excited for April 1st to arrive; I know I would be. This party will gather a few pre-release orders for you and please put me on the list!

*tapping the bottom of my champagne flute, all turn to listen*

Thank you all for joining us. Casey, our beautiful guest of honor, is excited to get to talk with each of you after the interview so be sure to have your questions ready at the end. There will be more champagne for all served by our too-sexy waiters!
Casey, Thanks so much for being here with us this week. I'm excited to be a part of this with you. Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?

Casey:  I envy authors who can write while listening to music.  I find music distracts me.  I will usually play a game of Solitaire on my computer before I start writing.  It helps clear my head. It’s also essential for me to have a very cold beverage nearby.

Tonya:  Do you have a card file where you keep story ideas? How do you catalog them? Where do they come from?

Casey:  Story ideas can come from anywhere really.  They just seem to pop into by head.  Other times they’re suggested to me. For example, with my upcoming release, Ruby Red Metallic, my sexy friend, Moose Hannigan, suggested the basic idea.
I do have and keep ideas written down in a notebook.  I try to write down as much information that pops into my head and I add to it as the idea unfolds.

Tonya:  Did you bring one of your characters with you today?

Casey:  Yes, I did. I brought Alaina, from my upcoming release, Ruby Red Metallic.  She is a beautiful, resourceful woman who has a fetish for expensive, high-end cars.  She usually knows more about the vehicles than the people who own them. I think she's caught the attention of one of our waiters over by the car!

Tonya:  Lucky lady she is. We'll catch up with her shortly. Tell us about a day in your life as a writer.

Casey:  It’s actually quite boring.  During the week I’m at my day job dungeon, so I don’t get the opportunity to write until I’m home later in the evening.  Weekends are a better chance for me to get more writing done, but even then, I have the usual responsibilities of housework, laundry, groceries, etc. I’m trying to convince Moose to clean my place wearing only his skivvies, but he insists on wearing clothes.

Tonya:  He should agree to wear his skivvies and help you out with your writing ideas. Come on Moose! Casey, are you a daytime writer, nighttime writer, and do you have to be alone to write?

Casey:  Yes, I have to be alone to write and I do most of my writing at night.
Tonya:  When and why did you begin writing?

Casey:  Writing came naturally to me.  I’ve been writing since I was in second or third grade; mostly just keeping a journal.  When I was about thirteen, I used to write very short stories for my English teacher.  I guess now you would call it Flash Fiction. Anyway, on Monday he would give us a list of twenty words that we had to look up and write out the definitions as well as use each word correctly in a sentence.  I would make up a very short story using all of the words given to us.  It was challenging and a lot of fun.  That’s also around the same time I wrote my first “book”.  It was a story about a witch and a princess.

Tonya:  You have several short stories out there now. What are some of your other current projects?

Casey:  My erotic novelette, Ruby Red Metallic, comes out April 1st with Breathless Press.  Right now, I’m working on an erotic novella tentatively titled Number 69.  It’s about a woman discovering her sexuality and how fun it can be.

Tonya:  Where can our readers find you and your books?

Casey:  I love visitors so please stop by! You can visit my website or my blog and my first book, Scarlett’s Wolf, can be found at Cobblestone Press and, like I mentioned before, Ruby Red Metallic will be available in April at Breathless Press. I have short erotic stories up as free reads on various websites and links to those can be found on either my website or blog.

Tonya:  That's a lot of places for our guests to visit so they can become familiar with your work. Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?

Casey:  Tonya, thank you so much for having the fabulous party for me, I'm honored to be here. Thank you, guests, for joining us! Authors love getting comments and feedback from readers, I’m certainly no different.  I love hearing from readers, so please feel free to send me emails to let me know what you thought of a particular story.  I also encourage readers to leave comments on my blog.

Tonya:  Thank you all for being here and please refill your glasses and enjoy the strawberries and chocolate...and the waiters! *wink* Casey will be around for your questions all week!
Let the celebration begin! Cheers Casey!!

I like the premise of your story having a female who knows cars. Can't say I've seen that done before. Good job!
