Liz Borino - Erotic Romance Author

 Liz Borino
Erotic Romance Author

Come in and enjoy the warmth from the fireplace and sit with us awhile as we chat with my guest author this week. Liz Borino is the author of the Taylor Twins series, which includes Expectations, What Money Can't Buy, and Gifts from the Past. Her short story "Jesse" was included in the Lazy Day anthology, Indulgence. She earned her BA at Hofstra University in 2010 and is currently pursuing her MA in English at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. When Liz isn't writing or doing homework, she enjoys traveling and has spent time in Europe. One day she will escape the suburbs of Pennsylvania for good, but until then she'll continue to give her characters more interesting lives than she has.

Tonya:  Liz, thank you so much for being my guest all week. Readers love to know more about their authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.

Liz:  I live an exceedingly boring life. I study English at West Chester University, write, and go to my Unitarian Universalist church once a week. I’m an introvert who swings between wanting to be left alone and connecting with those around me.

Tonya:  Do you have a day job?

Liz:  Sort of. I’m a student and I do some editing for my graduate assistantship, which pays for school. In addition I do copy-editing for my publisher…I guess you could say I have a collection of day jobs.

Tonya:  Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?

Liz:  I think the fact is that I’m always in the writing mood. I have to work very hard to focus on anything else while the characters are talking.

Tonya:  Where do your ideas come from?

Liz:  My ideas come from everywhere. Totally not an exaggeration either. I read newspaper articles and in the back of my mind I’m wondering, ‘will this be useful later on?’ The answer is almost always yes.

Tonya:  Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?

Liz:  I am a ‘whenever I can get it done’ writer. And no I don’t have to be alone to write. Some of my best writing happens in the library at school.

Tonya:  Do you write better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you write, then add character looks?

Liz:  I have to know my characters inside and out before I start telling their story. Generally speaking, the inside is more important than the out.

Tonya:  We’re dying to hear about your latest book. What can you tell us without spoiling the storyline?

Liz:  I love Gifts from the Past! It’s the third in my Taylor Twins’ series. The boys (Matt, Chris, and Aiden) are in the throes of parenthood. Chris and Aiden are balancing a special needs child with a precocious baby. Matt has to handle his fiancĂ©e who moves closer and closer to insanity as the book goes on, in addition to a new born. However, a wrench is thrown into his survival plan when a old flame becomes involved in his life.

Tonya:  Where can our readers find you and your books?

Liz:  Amazon, Barnes and Noble.com, and Allromance.com

Tonya:  Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?

Liz:  Thank you all for reading and sharing this journey with me! I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing without each and every one of you!

Tonya:  What is your favorite night time snack?

Liz:  Oranges, little ones.

Tonya:  Do you like toppings on your ice cream?

Liz:  I…don’t actually like ice cream.

Tonya:  What’s your favorite meal - Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc?

Liz:  Usually Italian. I love pesto pasta.

  1. Reading the blurb about the overbearing father makes me wonder if I'd like Expectations. I have real difficulty with certain familial relationships and this may be one of them!
