Tonya: Readers
love to know more about their authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Paige: Well, I
am a wife and mother of two young children that keep me on my toes. I enjoy
spending time with them and watching sports when I am not working, writing or
at school.
Tonya: They grow fast so enjoy every minute! Do you
have a day job?
Paige: Yes. I
am an office manager for a small local company in my area. Not glamorous but it
helps pay the bills.
Tonya: Some of
us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or
drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?
Paige: I love
throwing on Pandora to one of my favorite bands and losing myself basically in
the music and the writing. I usually write in the early mornings while everyone
is still asleep.
Tonya: Where do
you keep story ideas? Where do they come from?
Paige: I think
most of my ideas come from experiences that I’ve had or people that I know have
had, and the others are just what-if? I look to novels as a source of escape
from our reality even if it’s for a few pages. I base a lot of my ideas on
those experiences that I want to enjoy.
Tonya: If
you’re self-published, can you tell us a bit about that and how it’s going for
you?
Paige: I am self-published and I believe it is going as well as it can. I am still new to this world and genre and it is taking a while to build a fan base. However, I am happy with what I have accomplished so far.
Tonya: Our readers do love their smut, right readers? They also love series so you've got a great start. Keep writing and giving them more of what they want! Are you
a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?
Paige: I tend
to write during the morning, but can write at night after the kids go to bed. I
don’t necessarily have to be alone to write, it depends on my mood and what is
going on in the house. Most of the time I am on the couch while the kids are
playing in the living room.
Tonya: What
advice would you give to new authors?
Paige: Read
and write. It sounds simple but it is the advice that I always give. The more
you read, the better writer you will be. But then again, you have to write. If
you don’t write, no matter what happens, you are not able to put any product
out if you don’t start the process.
Tonya: Do you write
better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you
write, then add character looks?
Paige: I have
a basic plot line and idea of what the characters look like before doing the
character sketches. I do a character sketch on every major character in a book,
really get to know them before I sit down and write. I usually troll around
Google images to get an idea of the look I have pictured in my head and then I
am usually like “AH HA! That’s the guy or girl”
Tonya: What
attracts you most about men?
Paige: Wow…I
like confident men. Although, the bad boy look with tattoos and piercings
attract me as well, as you can tell by my characters.
Tonya: We’re
dying to hear about your latest book. What can you tell us without spoiling the
storyline?
Paige: It’s
the second in a series, but follows a different set of main characters. They
both are afraid of losing control, yet yearn for it. The story explores their
relationship and their insecurities and struggles with their emotions as they
admit to themselves what they fear and want. It is a BDSM themed erotica.

Marcus placed me in the middle of the
king sized bed. He moved back and swept his eyes up and down my body. My skin
