Join me in welcoming Erotic Romance Author Sam Crescent w/a Contest!

Erotic Romance

I'm excited to introduce you to this week's guest author! It's been fun watching fellow authors grow and become popular with readers. Sam has done just that and continues to put out new books to entice your imagination. She writes some BDSM, a writer after my own heart! Be sure to leave a comment at the end to be included in her contest.

Tonya: Sam, it's great to have you hanging out with us all week, thank you. Readers love to know more about their authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.

Sam Crescent: Hi and thank you, Tonya, for having me here. I’m an erotic romance author in multiple genres from ménage to BDSM. Writing is my passion but I’m also an avid reader and love discovering new authors. I also struggle to answer questions like these as talking about myself is never fun. I love to cook and bake in my spare time and I’ve got too many cookbooks in my collection that I’m struggling to house them.

Tonya: Do you have a day job?

Sam Crescent: I’ve been lucky enough that writing is my full time job and it’s so amazing to be able to live my dream.

Tonya: Many authors envy you because you can stay at home to write. If I weren't such a control freak, I'd hire someone to replace me and stay home! LOL Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?

Sam Crescent: I’ve got nothing special to do at all. I sometimes listen to music, other times I simply write in silence. I think it depends on the day, the scene I’m writing and my mood.

Tonya: Where do you keep story ideas? Where do they come from?

Sam Crescent: I wish knew the answer lol. They come from everywhere and I’m dedicated to my muse so I carry a notepad and pen with me at all times.

Tonya: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?

Sam Crescent: I’m a morning and day writer. However, I write when the need takes me as I don’t want to miss a moment within a story.

Tonya: What advice would you give to new authors?

Sam Crescent: Write what you love and never give up. Always be willing to learn no matter how hard it may seem. Also, listen to hour editor, they’re there to help and guide you.

Tonya: Do you write better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you write, then add character looks?

Sam Crescent: Again this is a mixed answer as it changes from story to story. There are stories where I start from scratch while other stories have a general outline.

Tonya: What attracts you most about men?

Sam Crescent: In my books they have to be possessive with a lot of alpha type traits but they must also be forgiven and be able to be liked in the end. Another point is they have to love my heroine at some point.

Tonya: We’re dying to hear about your latest book. What can you tell us without spoiling the storyline?

Sam Crescent: This is hard so I will post the blurb you can find online at all distributors.
Tiny is the leader of The Skulls and the main protector of Fort Wills, but that wasn’t always the case. He has a dark past, and it’s about to come and bite him in the ass.
Eva cannot stay with a man who’ll keep her in the dark. She’s the daughter of the man who runs the underground fighting circuit in Vegas, and there is iron in her that none of the Skulls suspects. Backing down from what she wants has never been in her nature, but Tiny is too far gone. There’s no hope of holding him.
When Tiny and his boys are attacked on a drug run, he has no choice but to head to the woman he loves. Tiny doesn’t know which of his men are alive or dead. He only knows his past has finally caught up with him. But how can he go back home without his daughter’s man?
Lives will be tested, and lives will be lost. Tiny will be pushed to the breaking point, and he’ll have to make a choice. Who can he save when all seems lost?

Tonya: Where can our readers find you and your books?

Sam Crescent: My links are all listed below of where you'll find me hanging out. Please stop by!

Tonya: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?

Sam Crescent: Thank you so much to all my readers for their support and their wonderful words. I really cannot express how much you all mean to me.

Tonya: What is your favorite night time snack?

Sam Crescent: Haribo (gummy sweets) or a cheese sandwich lol.

Tonya: Do you like toppings on your ice cream?

Sam Crescent: I love making my own home made chocolate fudge sauce.

Tonya: What’s your favorite meal - Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc?

Sam Crescent: I’m addicted to Italian food at the moment.

Excerpt:

Eva stared at him feeling the intensity of his gaze. Not once had he asked her to stay, and yet she knew it was what he wanted. They were not good for each other. The last few years had confirmed that for her. This game they played was only hurting the both of them. One of them needed to make it stop, and she was going to be the one to do it by leaving. Vegas was her safety ground. Her father would guarantee it.
     “Tiny, I’ve got to go.”
If she didn’t get out of Fort Wills now then she never would. Eva knew in her heart she would let Tiny walk all over her simply to be near him. Her love of Tate was nothing compared to the feelings this man evoked within her. At times she thought she’d drown on her love for him. No man, not even Gavin, had made her feel this way.
“No, you don’t.” He took a step closer, and now she had no choice but to back away. His presence alone made her feel like jelly. She took a step back, but Tiny kept on coming. Eva finally stopped with her back against the wall. His hands rested on either side of her head. Tiny was taller than she was, even in her heels. The top of her head reached his chest, and she had no choice but to look up at him. His dark brown eyes, so like Tate’s at times, stared down at her. Where Tate’s eyes were filled with innocence Tiny’s eyes were filled with pain and power. This man knew what he was doing at all times. He had a past, and it was colorful in a bad way.
“What are you doing?” She wasn’t afraid of Tiny. He’d done everything he could to protect her over the last few months. She’d been shot and hurt because of his club. No, Tiny wouldn’t hurt her, but his enemies would.
“Nothing you don’t want.” He leaned in close. His breath fanned across her face. She smelled the mints he kept inside his drawer.
Eva kept quiet waiting for his next move. His lips brushed across hers, and she jerked back. She stopped herself from slamming her head against the wall. The small touch was like a bolt of lightning through her body. Her cunt clenched as her nipples hardened becoming attuned to this man before her. He owned her responses. There was nothing else for her to do other than let go.
The door to the room was closed, so no one would interrupt them. No one would dare interrupt them if they saw her enter.
     “Open for me,” he said.

Bio:
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011.
She loves creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
