Come on over to meet sexy erotic author, Ginger Ring!

 Ginger Ring
Erotic Romance

I'm honored to have this week's author hang out with my readers! There's a contest at the end so if you want in, be sure to include your email in the comment so she can reach the inner.
Ginger Ring is an eclectic, hat-loving Midwestern girl with a weakness for cheese, dark chocolate, and the Green Bay Packers. She loves reading, playing with her cats, watching great movies, and has a quirky sense of humor. Publishing a book has been a lifelong dream of hers and she is excited to share her romantic stories with you. Her heroines are classy, sassy and in search of love and adventure. When Ginger isn’t tracking down old gangster haunts or stopping at historical landmarks, you can find her on the backwaters of the Mississippi River fishing with her husband.

Tonya: Ginger, welcome, thank you for being my guest and taking time to chat with our readers. I know we'll have a blast! By the way, I'm a cat lover, too. I love my Siamese cats who keep us entertained! Readers love to know more about their authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.

Ginger: I’m from Wisconsin. Home of the Green Bay Packers and all the cheese you could possibly want to eat.

Tonya: I lived in Michigan for a while! Small world! Do you have a day job?

Ginger: Oh yes!! I have had quite a variety of jobs, mostly in retail. I sold antiques for a long time and then I opened my own bridal store which I ran for six years. I’ve worked for Victoria’s Secret and a few other clothing stores. About 10 years ago, I got tired of working every weekend and holiday so I decided to get out of sales and into a Monday through Friday job with set hours.

Tonya: Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?

Ginger: I try to work with theme. Once I find the theme of the story, I then try and find music that sets a tone. For my latest release Getting Down To Business, the story was set in the South. Well, West Virginia actually so I listened to some Southern blues. Since I’m from Wisconsin everything below Iowa is South to me. lol I have a twenties-era book that I am working on also so then it is jazz or it can be Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 DVD. I just need a soundtrack for the story.

Tonya: Great suggestions! Where do you keep story ideas? Where do they come from?

Ginger: I need to get better at writing the ideas down when I get them. They float around in my head and unfortunately I sometimes forget them. I do like Pinterest for keeping ideas for clothes, the characters, settings, etc. It’s nice to have a visual. Ideas can come from anywhere. A historical site, an article, or a person I met, etc. I was once eating a Southwest salad from McDonald’s and added that to the scene. lol

Tonya: Tell us a bit about getting published and how it’s going for you?

Ginger: My first book, Getting Down to Business, is published with Wild Rose Press. I had met a few authors that had published with them and gave them rave reviews. I submitted my story to them and they offered me a contract. They were great as I am totally new to this business and they spent a lot of time helping me and editing my story. The thing is once your story it published, it doesn’t end there, you really have to find ways of getting your name out so that people will find out about you and your books.

Tonya: Congratulations! Marketing is hard work and never-ending! Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?

Ginger: Usually I am a weekend writer and yes I have to be alone as I get distracted easy. I work during the day so if I have time I try to write at least a couple hundred words at night if I can just to keep going. I think I am the slowest writer ever.

Tonya: It's certainly a challenge to find writing time when we work full time. Hang in there! What advice would you give to new authors?

Ginger: Read, write, take classes, and meet other writers. I was very lucky to connect with a great author, the wonderful Randi Alexander, who took me under her wing. I would not be where I am today without her help and guidance.

Tonya: Do you write better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you write, then add character looks?

Ginger: I just write and then I come up with ideas as it goes along. I have a general idea for the character but then layer things.

Tonya: What attracts you most about men?

Ginger: Physically – I like tall, dark, and handsome. Personality – I like a sense of humor, honesty, and willing to try new things.

Tonya: I love spontaneity! We’re dying to hear about Getting Down to Business. What can you tell us without spoiling the storyline?

Ginger: It’s about two people that have spent the last few years of their lives concentrating on their careers and ignoring their need for love in their lives. What starts out as a very physical attraction has them getting down to business in more ways than one.

Tonya: We do love Jimmy covers! Damn! Very nice choice! Where can our readers find you and your books?

Ginger: I have various links listed below. You can find me on Facebook and my book, Getting Down to Business, is available now on Amazon.

Tonya: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?

Ginger: It was a pleasure being here and thank you, Tonya, for having me. I am a new author so I appreciate everyone reading my interview today and I hope they will check out my new book.

Tonya: I'm excited you're here and I love helping out new authors whenever I can! What is your favorite night time snack?

Ginger: Hot chocolate, mixed nuts, or popcorn

Tonya: Do you like toppings on your ice cream?

Ginger: I love ice cream but rarely eat it. It goes straight to my booty. My favorite is a hot fudge sundae with the whipped cream and cherries.

Tonya: Yum! What’s your favorite meal - Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc?

Ginger: I love food of all kinds! Getting Mexican or Chinese takeout is a treat!! Please get in on the contest! I'd love to answer your questions this week. Who has a question or comment?

CONTEST: Ginger will give away an e-copy of her book to one lucky commenter. Please enter your email address in their comments if you wish to be entered. Ginger will pick a winner on Saturday Nov 2 - Good luck everyone!

Excerpt:
“I hope you like the blues, ma'am. We don't get too many channels back here.”
Jessica nodded her approval. The sultry vibrations of Southern blues serenaded her. It didn’t take long for BJ to unload her car, pump up the jack, and start working on her tire. Watching the hunky mechanic work, listening to calming music, and feeling the wild rush of pre-storm air was exciting and nostalgic at the same time. She had grown up in a garage like this and instantly felt at home. The place was organized, quaint, and had the distinct smell of rubber and oil. A dark patina of grime coated the walls and worktables. A girly calendar and a time card machine graced the wall above the radio. Even the zip zip sound of the impact wrench was music to her ears.
Somewhere along the way—she really didn't care when—BJ had shed his shirt. His arm muscles bulged as he pulled off the tire. His sculpted chest glistened, broad shoulders flexed, muscles tightening. Her breasts ached to be pressed naked up against his chest, her body wanted to be held tight in those strong arms. She loved a man with chest hair. Springy black coils enhanced his pecs before tapering to a neat treasure trail heading south. She clasped her hands together, but they still involuntarily wiggled on their own, itching to run their way through the thick, dark curls.
Jessie had time to think while watching him work. Her mind reeled with plans to seduce him, but she was starting to think that was what he wanted her to do. Maybe she would wait and enjoy the show a little longer. He didn't seem to be in that big a hurry to get the job done.
He checked air pressure in the other three tires for possible leaks as well. BJ stretched and flexed his muscles several times—not that she was counting or anything. Her concentration broke only a couple times to listen to the severe weather warnings beeping on the radio.
BJ strutted by her again and returned from the office carrying a big towel. He headed to an outside water pump. Pulling the pump handle up, he splashed water from the hose over his glistening upper body and head. He shook his head sending a spray of droplets in every direction. Jessie smiled as she enjoyed the show. Boldly he glanced her way every so often and flexed a muscle or two. Yes, he was definitely hoping for some kind of response. She'd let him beg a little more. The click of the water handle hitting the pump ended his shower. Drying off with the towel, he headed back toward her chair.
His eyes locked on hers, a suggestive smile on his face. “Anything else I can interest you in today, ma'am, since we're already here in the garage? Need any spark plugs, a battery check…” He grinned and raised an eyebrow. “Lube job?” The Southern drawl rumbled slow and exaggerated.
Jessica almost laughed out loud. If she was anymore “lubed up,” she would slide right off the chair.

New sexy release by @PatriciaRasey

A Trip into the ‘What ifs’

I constantly find myself saying “what it?” as I’m sure all writers do. You see an everyday occurrence, or item and your mind begins to wander to that place. What if someone vacuumed sealed body parts and mailed them? What if you were in the forest and stumbled upon a crucifix with a man’s body nailed to it? What if you were trapped in a closest with a poisonous snake?

New Erotic Release by @EmPetrova - come on over!

5 Sexiest Things About Men

I like my guys rough around the edges—hair a little too long and messy, beard scruff (a must!), jeans and workboots (mmmhmmm). My BFF loves tall, dark, suited-up boardroom types. It’s hard to choose 1 feature that all women agree on when it comes to their favorites, but here are a few that get most of our engines revving.

Can books from one series be tied to another?

I couldn't resist the title! You know I love tying things up! Reader's have written about how much they'd like to see more of Colt and Alexis from Master's Email which got me creating several scenarios. What if...Colt and Alexis were invited to one of the bondage parties that Nick and Sondra attend from The Boss's Pet series? Well let me tell you! OMG! My mind went crazy with all kinds of ideas on how I could integrate those characters into the party scene!
