Erotic Author Ray Sostre gives us
a view inside his NAUGHTY mind!
Tonya: Readers love to know more about their
authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Ray: Hi, I’m Ray Sostre. I am an erotic romance
author, while I also have the passion to write some smutty flash fiction, and
I’m a proud own of a media publishing site called AfterDark Online. The genre I
write are mostly m/f erotic contemporary, but I also write lesbian erotic and
ménage, which I will have a few on the way for publication. I currently live in
Nevada, with
my long time girlfriend for nearly a decade, and writing erotica has given me
the purpose to write generally.
Tonya: Do you have a day job?
Ray: At this time, yes I do. I currently work as a
Food & Beverage Shift Manager at a casino.
Tonya: Some of us have things we do to get into the
writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you
do to get into the writing mood?
Ray: A muse; usually several pics that inspire me,
or a scene that I read where I would put it in my version, if necessary.
Otherwise, I just write and see where it goes.
Tonya: Where do you keep story ideas? Where do they
come from?
Ray: These stories come off the top of my head. I
didn’t think I had it, until I put it on paper. Of course, there’s researching,
but most of the scenes come off the top of my head.
Tonya: If you’re self-published, can you tell us a
bit about that and how it’s going for you?
Ray: When a publisher disbanded in 2013, I was no
a man with no publisher , nowhere to belong. There were times, I received rejection
letters, and it was then when I decided that I wanted to be a publisher for
myself. Now, would I go with a publisher? Yes, I would. However, I need to find
a publisher that is able to suit me, and I’m looking for one that suits me.
Until then, I’m just self-publishing myself.
Tonya: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer,
and do you have to be alone to write?
Ray: I’m more a night person. My ideas spark
during the evening. Very rarely do I write during the day. There’s too much going
on it’s impossible to concentrate. Plus, I have my day job to worry about, but
when I get into my writing I have to be alone.
