Tonya: Malia, welcome! Thank you for spending this week with us. Readers love to know more about their
authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Malia: Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by. I've
been writing a long time, but I've been published for about two years. I'm
married and have a child. I do write erotica but some of my more recent
releases have shifted more into the erotic romance category.
Tonya: Do you have a day job?
Malia: At present, I'm staying home with my daughter
and working on my writing. However, I've had a variety of jobs in the past in
the education, legal and training areas.

Tonya: Some of us have things we do to get into the
writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you
do to get into the writing mood?
Malia: I do listen to music, usually instrumental.
Sometimes I read a little bit to get my mind going.
Tonya: Where do you keep story ideas? Where do they
come from?
Malia: They seem to want to come to me just as I'm
falling asleep! Seriously though, I do have to keep some paper by the bed.
Tonya: If you’re self-published, can you tell us a
bit about that and how it’s going for you?
Malia: It is very challenging to be responsible for
every aspect. On one hand, if I have a crappy cover, it's my own fault. On the
other hand, it is hard to have all the skills to do everything myself.
Fortunately, there are many great people who do have the skills.
Tonya: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer,
and do you have to be alone to write?
Malia: I do like to be alone and have quiet. I'm
easily distracted. With a little one in the house, my time is limited actually.
Tonya: What advice would you give to new authors?
Malia: Write, write and write some more. Research
the genre you want to publish in. Get professional help with editing, formatting
and covers.
Tonya: Doing it all is very time consuming! Your covers are all very sexy! Do you write better when you first have an
idea of what your characters look like or do you write, then add character
looks?
Malia: I've done it both ways. Sometimes I find a
reference picture that is close to what I was thinking and sometimes I just
write down the characteristics in a profile.
Tonya: What attracts you most about men?
Malia: Oooh. Good question. I have to say…hands and
smile (teeth!). I really like nice, strong masculine hands and I'm also partial
to a great smile.
Tonya: We’re dying to hear about your latest book.
What can you tell us without spoiling the storyline?
Malia: My newest release is His Passion, Her
Temptation. It's the fourth book in a series. Monica finds herself
interested in a man who happens to be the son of her father's business nemesis.
Despite her misgivings, she can't help herself from becoming involved with him.
You can imagine how well that goes over. In addition, someone is trying to take
over her family's business, which leads to suspicion all around.
Tonya: Where can our readers find you and your
books?
Malia: My books are available at all the major eBook

Malia: That's tough because I'm really trying to cut
back on the sugar. I have to admit to being quite partial to pineapple. In
fact, I had some earlier!
Tonya: Do you like toppings on your ice cream?
Malia: Yes yes! I love ice cream and if it has
toppings…that's cool too!
Tonya: What’s your favorite meal - Italian, Mexican,
Thai, etc?
Malia: All
three of those are good! I had some wonderful Thai take out for dinner.
Unfortunately, good Mexican and Italian are not that common here. However, we
do have great local food and I'm a fan of teriyaki beef.

breaking the kiss, Ben guided her out of the hallway into the living room.
Monica
slipped her finger under the edge of his collar. "You know, it doesn't
seem fair that you get to call all the shots."
"Oh? I
call all the shots?" Ben's hands roamed to her rear and squeezed.
"Yes …
you decide when and how …" Monica licked the edge of his lip.
"One,
that isn’t quite true, and two, I haven't heard you complaining." He gave
her a playful pinch on the ass.
"Oh no,
I'm not complaining." Her hand moved to the front of his pants, cupping
him.
"Then
what?" His hands slid down to the back of her thighs.
"I
thought it might be fun to … try a little something else." She rubbed him
through the fabric of his pants.
"What
did you have in mind?" Ben swept his hands up her back and tangled his
fingers in her hair.
Monica tilted
her head back. "Do you recall that night before I left for Hawaii?"
"I do
believe it is burned into my memory."
"Sometimes
I wonder if it wouldn't be interesting to reverse things." Monica observed
his face for a reaction.
"Reverse
things?"
"Oh
yes." Her finger laid a trail down the front of his chest.
"You," she poked him gently, "would do as I say."

"I'm not
sure, but I have a desire to find out." The thought of taking charge
appealed to Monica, not all the time, but perhaps occasionally.
Ben smiled.
"That sounds … enticing."
"I hoped
you'd think so." Monica walked around him, patting his ass with her palm.
"How
would you start?"
"I'd
tell you to disrobe for my viewing pleasure." Monica enjoyed looking at
the hard planes of Ben's body, so different from her own curves.
"Shall
I?"
"Oh,
yes." Monica crossed the few steps to the seating area and settled herself
into an upholstered chair.
Ben
approached Monica and then turned his back toward her. He loosened his tie and
pulled it free, tossing it over his shoulder in Monica's direction before
unbuttoning his shirt and letting the fabric fall to the floor. He turned
slightly and caught her eye. Monica flushed under his wicked gaze.
