Tonya: Ellen, welcome to my dungeon! Don't let all the rooms and toys distract you just yet. You can roam around when we're finished here. Readers love to know more about their authors. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Ellen: I’m a young author who has been all over the world and I just love writing. I’ve known that it is what I wanted to do since I was a little kid.
Tonya: Do you have a day job?
Ellen: Yep. More writing. I hope I can support myself on my creative writing someday.
Tonya: Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?
Ellen: I don’t. I’m more of the hard work mindset than the 'in the mood' mindset. I sit down in front of my computer and type. I do like to drink some gyokuro (a type of green tea) to get a little extra focused.
Tonya: I like that note of difference in the writing frame of mind! Where do you keep story ideas? Where do they come from?
Ellen: I have a huge file of story ideas in NVALT. Ideas come from everywhere. I think I remember someone saying that generating ideas is the least of an author’s problems. I totally feel that way. I just wish I had more time to write.
Tonya: I hear you! Life gets in the way of writing sometimes. If you’re self-published, can you tell us a bit about that and how it’s going for you?
Ellen: It’s great! I’m loving the whole process and the community is very welcoming. I think it could be kind of difficult for those of us who are more computer challenged.
Tonya: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?
Ellen: I write whenever I can! Day! Night! In a room full of people!
Tonya: Let me know if you ever need help with anything. I love al that techie stuff! What advice would you give to new authors?
Ellen: Write. Also don’t let people or life get you down. If you are called to write, just do it.
Tonya: Do you write better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you write, then add character looks?
Ellen: My favorite part of writing is the process of discovery. I just write characters just as if they were real people I am meeting. You don’t notice everything about a person’s looks at once do you? At least I don’t.
Tonya: What attracts you most about men?
Ellen: What about ladies? I demand equality! I think what attracts me to men is the same thing that attracts me to people in general. I like smart, funny, open-minded people. That’s not the sexy answer you were looking for, huh?
Tonya: No! LOL But that's okay. We’re dying to hear about your latest book. What can you tell us without spoiling the storyline?
Ellen: I’m currently writing the last installment of my She’s the Billionaire series. Let’s just say that Richard has a long road ahead of him. Chris is not a gentle master.
Tonya: Where can our readers find you and your books?
Ellen: You can find me at hanging out on my website, which
is also where you can find a link to all of my erotica.
Tonya: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?
Ellen: Support indie authors! We need you!
Tonya: Let's do a few fun questions. What is your favorite night time snack?
Ellen: Homemade popcorn. I could eat it non-stop. So much better than the bagged stuff.
Tonya: My #1 downfall! We sometimes just do popcorn for a late supper with our TV. Do you like toppings on your ice cream?
Ellen: I am a horrible person and I don’t actually like ice cream. Give me a good gelato any day. And no, no toppings.
Tonya: What’s your favorite meal - Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc?
Ellen: Japanese. Delicious! Now...here's the blurb for our readers.
Excerpt:
Trisha, a voluptuous BBW, goes
to her doctor one day and finds out she has to lose weight or risk her health.
When she goes to a brand new 24 hour gym, she gets way more than just a workout
from her handsome new trainer Evan. She soon finds out that he prefers curvy
women when he makes her spread her legs on the gym floor. The gym is pretty
quiet late at night, but will they get caught practicing their new
"advanced workout" where everyone can see?
Ellen
has lived all over the world, but she loves to visit Tokyo and buy hand braided
bondage ropes whenever she can.
